I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan (Ross School of Business.) After earning my CPA, I began my career in public accounting as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers in St. Louis, Missouri. I soon recognized, however, that I was more interested in people than numbers, and after three years I transferred into an HR position with PwC’s Detroit office. In my new role, I focused on career development for PwC staff members, and expanded my role in recruitment and hiring activities. I found it particularly rewarding to help students and new-hires navigate their entry into the corporate world as they accepted internships or full-time employment at PwC.
Eager to further develop my recruiting skills and continue working with extremely motivated professionals, I accepted a position as an Associate Director of Admissions at Ross in 2001. I spent the next four years coordinating the recruitment and admissions process for the high-caliber applicants to the Ross MBA and BBA programs. I worked closely with prospective, admitted, and enrolled students. I particularly enjoyed my interaction with prospective students during the counseling sessions and formal interviews. My favorite part of the job was contacting talented applicants to let them know they had been admitted! Having experienced the admissions process from the adcom’s perspective, I am excited (and well-positioned) to help current applicants achieve their MBA admissions goals.
